In my humble opinion, the most effective “Superman” film is not even a film — its the third trailer for “Man of Metal.” This trailer is so nicely put collectively, so goosebump-inducing, that I used to be satisfied Snyder had by some means made a masterpiece when I first noticed it on-line. Then I noticed the film, which was, to be blunt, an entire dud. Every little thing right here clicks: the sense of Superman’s loneliness in our world, the father-and-son dynamics with each Pa Kent and Superman’s beginning father Jor-El (Russell Crowe), Michael Shannon’s unhinged Normal Zod (who appears form of boring within the completed movie), the photographs of Superman retreating.
